Special Meeting Notice 

Pursuant to Article VII, Section 2 of the Virginia State Association of Parliamentarians (VSAP) Bylaws, I, Lynda Baer, PRP, hereby gives notice of a special meeting of VSAP to be held on Saturday, April 25, 2020 starting at 10:00 AM.  The purpose of the meeting is to:

1.      Hear annual reports from Officers, Committees and Units.

2.      Elect five (5) members to the Nominating Committee.
(Members of the 2017-2019 Nominating Committee are ineligible)

This will be an electronic meeting.  Individuals must register by Sunday, April 19, 2020 to receive access instructions via email.  All attendees must be able to access the internet during the meeting, as well as have the capability to dial into a conference line phone number as a back-up.  Upon the conclusion of the business of the special meeting, attendees will be invited to attend an optional educational program on parliamentary procedure (depending on instructor availability).

Registration Instructions

A) State Officers, Standing Committee Chairmen, and Past VSAP Presidents: Please register by providing your name, position title, email address, and phone number via email to info@VirginiaParliamentarians.org.

B) Unit/Club Delegates: Each Unit and Club receives one (1) delegate for its first five (5) primary members or major fraction thereof, and one (1) delegate for each additional five (5) members or major fraction thereof. Unit/Club Presidents must certify the name, email address, and phone numbers of their delegate(s) via email to info@VirginiaParliamentarians.org.

C) Members At Large: Please register by providing your name, email address, and phone number via email to info@VirginiaParliamentarians.org. The VSAP President will appoint members-at-large to delegate slots on a first-come-first-serve basis.

D) All Other Attendees/Guests: Please register by providing your name, email address, and phone number via email to info@VirginiaParliamentarians.org.

Call to Convention

UPDATE: On 3/23/2020 the Board of Directors voted to cancel this meeting.  Instead a special electronic meeting will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2020.  Please be on the lookout for that notice.

The Virginia State Association of Parliamentarians (VSAP) call its members and guests to the 63rd Annual Convention. It will be held from April 25-26, 2020, Fredericksburg, Virginia, at the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel. All members are encouraged to attend, participate and leave with refreshed knowledge and skills of parliamentary procedure. Members and guests are also invited to the VA Alpha Unit Dutch Treat Annual Meeting to be held Friday, April 24, 2020, beginning at 6:00 PM.
